By the time I was ready to start my own business, I have been planning for years. Starting a small business, you see, had been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember. My dad worked on the auto line for all of his creation of god. Growing up, I had to watch it go from the dream job that it was in the 1960s, to the wreck that it has become due to layoffs and buyouts. I resolved that when I was old enough, I would have no boss. I would go into business myself. I would not be cheated out of my livelihood the way my dad was.
Figuring out how to start my own home based business, nevertheless, was much more difficult. I concept that I could start my own home business by buying a franchise, but I would not feel like I was my own boss in that situation. I did not want to operate someone else's brand-name store. I wanted to feel like my own man. I knew that when I decided to start my own business, I would do it on my own terms.
When I finally started my own business, I had studied how it was done enough to feel pretty confident. I knew that it required more than grit and determination to start my own business. It required knowledge as well. I had

researched how to get loans, how to get startup capital, and how to publicize a brand new home based business. After contemplating several differing kinds of businesses, I make a choice to start a music store. I had been building my own instruments for years, and I dream I could start my own business selling custom guitars for a discounted price.
It ended up being more difficult to start my own home business than I had expected. It was literally months before sales picked up. At first expecting mothers trickled in slowly. They were suspicious of buying handmade guitars from someone they had not met before. Although I used decent pickups, adequate tuners, and adequate woods for the guitars and knew what I was doing, parents would not buy from me. By the time things started to pick up, I had almost run out of capital. But soon, my efforts to start my own home business paid off. It was only a matter of time before I was selling guitars left and the right way. Now, I am a successful business man.
